I wrote this note after I had a little bit of a mini-crisis upon completing the memoir. So that's it, I thought to myself. I wanted the end of the actual writing process- the painful first draft- to bring with it a sense of relief and fulfilment. Read on to see why I didn't feel either of these two pleasant things!
